Hi everyone. Welcome to Jo Teaches. As part of a series, we will be
exploring some interesting apps created by Google which are totally free
to download.
First, lets talk about Google Earth. Google Earth is a map-based app for
scouting and exploring the world in the comfort of your homes. You can
choose to explore the world using satellite imagery and 3D buildings
and terrains for hundreds of cities.
Zoom to your house or anywhere else. You can even actually dive in for a
360 degrees perspective with Street View.
There are also inbuilt guided tours around the globe with some of the
world's leading storytellers, scientists, and nonprofits. Learn about
various cultures around the world.
You can actually enter various public places with your phone or pc by
the Street View feature.
In the video below, i entered the White House; the Presidential seat of
The United States of America. You can move around the inside of the
building and see some nice olden artifacts and actual pictures of some
notable past presidents of the USA.
Google Earth is a very powerful tool to use, especially when you feel
bored or when you want to visit certain places around the globe but do
not have passport or visa to do so.
Google Earth is available on Playstore, and also via the official
website; earth.google.com
If you need any assistance or enquiry, feel free to ask me or post it in
the comment section below. Till we meet next time,
